TBC's Annual Iftar

Iftar is an Islamic term referring to the evening meal with which Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset. It is one of the religious observances of Ramadan and is often considered a social event as well. The fast is broken with the consumption of dates and water, following the tradition of Prophet Muhammad , and then a meal typically consisting of various foods, including fruits, soups, salads, bread, rice, meat, and sweets.

Iftar holds significant spiritual and communal importance for Muslims, as it symbolizes not only the end of a day of fasting but also gratitude for the blessings provided during the day and an opportunity for families and communities to come together in worship and celebration. It is common for Muslims to invite family, friends, and neighbors to share in the iftar meal, fostering a sense of community and solidarity.

Here at TBC we host a annual Iftar for all of our children and parents to come together eat, laugh and even play games. Will you be joining us for next year's iftar in sha Allah?
